Amendment of name for assessment purposes

In order to confirm the right of your property and to include the name in the assessment list, the name amendment can be done for the purpose of assessment. There you must have paid the assessment fee payable to the local council without any deficit.

As stated in the 2025 Annual Gazette,

* Assessment Name Amendment Application Fee Rs.250/-

* For revision of assessment name Rs. 2000/-

Documents required for amendment of ownership

If you own legal land within the assessment area,

The following documents are required to amend your existing property right.

*Request letter

*Application

*Legal Land Deed

*Photocopy of land plot

* Paththiru

*Residence certificate obtained from GS

If your land is licensed within the assessment jurisdiction,

You have to come to get the property rights amended.
